The Grand Valley Summer Film Project is a project which aims to present real-world filmmaking experience to creative students at Grand Valley State University, located in Allendale, Michigan. The film shoots the project over the summer, and then the post-production team takes it from there to finish it off by the end of the winter semester. I was on that post-production team.
This is a theatrical trailer for the GVSU Summer Film “Message Sent,” filmed in the summer of 2010, and released Spring 2011. The film follows a vagrant who finds a cellphone, and at the same time, a purpose in life. While I also took part in the entire editing processes leading up to the film’s release, it is not currently available to view in its entirty online. Only this trailer is. This item of the Pryor Media Portfolio counts for both the trailer, and the film itself, although only the trailer is representing the work here.
